| How to Design a Sunroom
Your Aristocrat Sunroom dealer is trained and pleased to work with you to design a sunroom that fits your needs and your budget, and looks great with your home. Here are some things to consider when designing a sunroom:
Color: Aristocrat Sunrooms come with soft white, desert sand, or earthstone (aluminum only) extrusions. Your dealer will bring samples of the color choices to you, so you can see what works best with your home’s exterior.
Roof style: Single slope studio roof or peaked A-Frame design? Which to choose often depends on the architecture of your home. When there is not sufficient mounting space for an A frame sunroom, your dealer can construct a dormer on your roof to mount the sunroom.
Roof thickness: 3, 4-1/2 or 6 inch thick roof panels are available. The size of the room, your decision on whether to shingle or not shingle the roof, and the engineering requirements in your area will dictate the roof panel thickness.
Shingle or not? The sunroom roof can be shingled to match your house roof, as a option, and if snow loads permit. This is a decision that is best made during the design phase of the sunroom, to be sure the roof you choose will meet the engineering requirements necessary to carry the weight of the shingles.
